LED light bars mount

Just thought i would say hello. Got some information on this site and thought i would pass along any info that i acquired through trial an error. I recently fabricated and installed a light bar mount and thought i would share some pics. Its welded aluminum weighs maybe 3 lbs. I had the light brackets welded on the tide to eliminate another bracket to buy. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

Welcome, Nice first post! Love it! would just have done the retainers more ''square looking'' to fit with the 4Runner look!

Thumbs up

Personally I don't think you have enough LED's facing forward.

Are there screw holes there from the factory? I can't remember.

How are the mounts attached to roof channel?

I would keep an eye on the welds between the tube and the light mounts, IIRC those mounts are pot metal.

No factory holes To install it in. Had to self tap into the gutter and seal it very well. Don't think it's pot metal. Pot metal is usually hard to weld if at all. I'm pretty sure it aluminum as it welded easily.

Can you explain how you ran the wire on the roof light bar down and under the hood? Pictures would be nice as well, haha! Great job!

That looks good. I've been waiting for someone to make a bolt on kit. don't mind drilling holes to bolt too as long as it seals good and don't leak.

i ran the wire down the drivers side windshield. The wire off the light slid right in it and i sealed it in the marine grade 3M adhesive 5200. then just fed it through under the plastic piece. then the off on button through the wire hole feed through. i was rushed when i did mine and the temp was cold and it took a while to dry so it looks a little messy in some areas but it is in there good. ill add a picture of it in a bit
