Took mine to have it Duracoated today!

Best Regards,
I am not sure on the sides yet... still working on it. The material is flexible so I could roll it but I would rather have a secure fit against the original mesh.

I wish you luck on the Duracoat, after several of my duty run boomsticks started to chip I am now a huge fan of Ceracoat.

Can't wait to see the pictures.

Is there enough overlap of the plate over the grill on the sides to place a fastener there?

Hopefully the duracoat will work in my application!

Best Regards,
There is but due to the size of the light/trim the fasteners can not be spaced evenly.

Is a redo in the works, or material is not available?

Completed and installed my Custom LED Light Bar/Grill Faceplate

I did this because I was not happy with the way just cutting the grill turned out. Thanks to @FloridaOccifer for jogging my thoughts on this process!

Please excuse the horrible pic, its raining here and light is terrible.

Yes, using the wiper warmer switch to grab the illumination power.
I used the green wire to the wiper warmer switch.
Hope this is a better answer!

I finished my homegrown solution and mounted it up yesterday.

Saker, thanks for the boost of courage to move forward on this project. I took 10 times longer on this one than I ever have on my other vehicles just so I could make sure it was as close to professional as possible.

I plan to attach to the wiper warmer as well, but I have three switches. Does anyone know if that will be too much on one wire? I don't have any other illuminated switches in the area.

Are you using this for LED illumination?
If so, you should be ok, as there should be minimal current draw.
