Thanks for putting together this list. Might want to add Sonoran Steel to the list, their gen5 lift is pretty well researched and rated. I have yet to find it's limits on my 11 TE. It utilizes Toyota progressive front springs from a niche 4 door TRDOR Tundra setup and custom valves billstein 5100s.

I see Dynastar used to, I'm not find anything that small anymore though
Still hoping someone has an answer. I haven't found anything.

Just looked at wheelers, they sell a daystar 1.25" front spacer in both a preload and top spacer, you stack them to get the 2.5" lift. If that isn't enough, ome makes a 10mm spacer you can stack onto it, it will be a little more than 1.5" though.

Try cornfedsuspension.com
They custom make spacers if they don't already make the one you want. Pricey for a spacer but at least it's available.

It's wierd that no one else seems to be selling that same think. Daystar doesn't even list that on their site

Thanks for making the thread

Can anyone confirm that the Toytec BOSS kit comes preloaded from factory? It says ready to bolt on but in my experiences I've installed coils and had to unbolt everything to establish proper preload. Never again. I'm vary weary to just bolt it up :S

The front coilovers come fully assembled and the shock is threaded to that you can crank up the lift without having to compress the string. I'm not sure what else you're asking.

The spring that surrounds the strut sits in a channel that retains the spring with the top hat of the coilover. When assembled properly there has to be a certain amount of preload (or tension between the spring and top hat) to account for the weight of the vehicle + passenger/gear.

When I installed coils on another vehicle with advertised "set from factory" preloaded coils; there was no preload at all. They torqued the top hat down to restrict movement but not to vehicle weight specs. One bump in the road and FWAP FWAP FWAP goes my suspension. It sucked.

These are assembled from the factory. I am asking if the factory preloads the springs with tension to account for the weight of the vehicle. IE are they truly unbox and install or do I need to compress the springs and adjust for proper preload? I apologize if my lingo is off I come from different roots when it comes to suspension products.

Is the TRD PRO suspension considered a Lift? I have one on order and should be here in a week.

You're over thinking it. As long as the top hat it attached, all you have to do is adjust the collar for lift. The top nut torque is done before you install the coilover onto the vehicle, you can check that if you want. I likely would, but it's only 18 ft lbs.

The factory installed version is 1.5" (front only), no lift in the back just better shocks. I assume that's what you would get with the kit as well. Guess it would really be more of a level kit / suspension upgrade
