Is anyone running this setup? Will it be level? Maybe thinking about doing this lift with Icon UCAs. Or would it be better to just go with Icon stage 2?

Quick question about the daystar lift spacers... The one listed in the first post of this thread is this one:

But that's for a fourth gen... Will it work on the 5th gen platform?

I have been banging my head against a monitor for a few days now on the forums looking for sound advice on a nice 1st pass at a lift.

We have the stock 17" 5 spoke wheels that I want to run for a little while and I would like to be able to fit a set of 285 Duratracks on them with whichever lift option I go with.

I was hoping that you guys could help me put a lift together to get what I want. I would like at least as much articulation if not more than stock, approximately 2.5" of lift in the front and leveled in the rear. I could spend around a $1,000 but I dont want to have to get into UCA's if I don't have to. This is going to be my wife's daily driver and our weekend fun car. It would be nice if it lost some body roll and dive over stock when on the road, but, we don't want it stiff or harsh either.

So, I was thinking of the 2.5" adjustable Bilstein 5100 package (from toytec w/o coilovers) all around and the Superflex coils to bring the rear up. If I use the adjustable 5100's up front will that actually lift the truck if I keep the stock front coils?

By going this route, what do I lose over the bilstein complete coilover package, ultimate, and boss setups?

Yes. But think about some 1.5" SAW coils for the back. The Superflex coils really add a LOT more lift in the back than you may want unless you keep it loaded all the time.

Thanks 3wbdriver. That was the same advice that toytec just gave me. They actually suggested another option. Eibach shocks up front and Sway Away rear 1.5" coils. That would be about 500. I could go up to a 1,000. Hmm What else. maybe sliders.

Does anyone know of a member that has eibach shocks up front with stock coils for a total height of 2.5, in conjunction with Sway a way 1.5" rear springs? I am looking to see what tire options will fit under this and also info on how it performs.

Why wouldn't you just go Bilstein?

One of the guys at toytec said eibach is a reputable brand and he liked the quality better.

just to confirm that i'm reading this right, if I have XREAS, I can't have a lift?

Clarification: You cannot install a lift while maintaining the XREAS system. That's not too say that because you have XREAS you cannot install a lift. You would just need to disconnect XREAS.

Check out the Bilstien 6112's from TAP, will work perfect with what your trying to do.

And you can still add a spacer to lift it while retaining XREAS, it's just not considered a "real" lift by some, but for some applications it works just fine.

now, for a really dumb question.. but how do I know for a fact that have an XREAS?
I know there should be reservoirs, I cannot see them.
However, dealer warned me that due to my sway bar system, they wouldn't be able to lift the truck.. I'm a bit confused on that end.
I should, probably, just post pictures of my suspension, eh?

What model do you have? If you do not have a Limited you don't have XREAS.

There are plenty of people on this board with lifted Limited 4Runners. I'm not sure what about your sway bar would make it different. Sounds to me like your dealership simply isn't comfortable installing a lift and doesn't want to be straightforward with you. Either that or you have a magical sway bar.
