2014 Headlight Questions for possible conversion

So the wife did the 5 second bumper removal mod in a parking lot (at least she didn't hit something stationary this time), which leads me to my mod of custom steel bumper. Ideally it would be a Schrockworks bumper but I'm not too keen on the idea of leaving the radiator exposed for 4 months so I plan to fab one up myself. After seeing the 2014 Schrockworks Bumper thread and RIDE's comment about the front 2014 headlight conversion, I thought I would explore the option a little more. After searching, I found very little on a front headlight conversion, probably because it could get very pricey. The main reason I'm exploring this option is that the 2014 headlights and upper grille 'end' at the same location in the middle. My plan or my hope is to only convert the top half of the front (AKA the better half).

If this conversion is possible, I know I would probably need a lot of additional parts like the upper grill, probably new upper bumper brackets, parts which I need to replace anyways. I haven't been able to find any online parts diagrams for the 2014 model either. Can anyone point me in a direction of the new diagrams (may just have to go visit the stealership)? I did find the part numbers to the headlights in LED Tail light post.

Can any of you 2014 guys or anyone else answer these questions regarding the second picture below (2014 left headlight housing courtesy of somebody on ebay)? My 2013 headlights have 3 bulbs (HI, Low, and side marker) and I know the 2014's have moved the turn signal into the same unit but I can't explain a couple harness' located on the new 2014 housings. Can anybody fill in the blanks so I can explore the front conversion a little more?

From numbers in second photo:
1. I'm guessing this is the relocated Turn Signal location.
2. Side Marker
3. Halogen Projector Bulb location
4. Black Harness = Unknown???
5. High Beam Halogen
6. White Harness w/ blue covered wires and they appear to enter the housing under the projector. = Unknown???

I guess my overall question, are those harness' deal killers? Can they stay unplugged? Something to do with the auto on/off features of the 2014 models. Thanks for reading the long post.

1. Turn Signal
2. Side Marker
3. Hole where H11 bulb goes in.
4. That is the wiring harness they connects to the H11 bulb.
5. High beam/daytime running lights
6. Not sure exactly, but I think that connects the relay harness to the H11 bulb harness inside (#4) , this is not connected to bulb.

I think yours also has the 4 bulbs too. Only difference would be your DRL uses the turn signal bulb and not the high beam bulb.

Also looking to do a conversion to 2014 +. But running into the same issue where the 2014 headlight sockets don’t match up with my 2013 wiring sockets.

Any suggestions or part numbers would be greatly appreciated.

I’m looking to just splicing my current wire sockets and putting in some that will fit on the 2014+ light to get it to match up. But finding part numbers for those connectors/sockets has been a pain. Signal light, corner light , headlight, and height beam don’t match. Please help

Thanks

The newer headlights look nice, but they're horrible for lighting. Probably one of the worst designs on the road today.

Everything is plug and playm no need to change harnesses or anything. The only difference is that your turn signals will remain the DRLs vs the high beam DRL that 2014s+ get.

Agree with the poster above the 2014+ headlight output is absolutely dreadful. I added HID bulbs to the projectors and even with that I think the output is worse than my original 2012 halogen headlights. Going to potentially retrofit HID projectors into the housings in the near future.

headlight help

I am converting my 13 limited to a 14+ pro front end.

The write up referenced makes the turn signals the new DRLs. As I am in Canada, DRLs are mandatory. They currently switch from my turn signal/marker to low beam using the auto sensor function. I would like to change this function if possible so my DRLs can be like the 14+ where the high beams are the DRL's.

I think I finally understand what needs to be done to have my DRLs to my high beams. I need this item to extend the wire from the lower portion (next to the fog light) to the assembly where the high beam is?

I still plan on buying this item but am unsure if it is necessary if I am trying to maintain the 14+ stock look and function.

I don't know if it's possible to have it fully converted to the stock look/function of the 14+ as there is not much information regarding this portion of the headlight that I can find. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am planning to do this conversion next week.

Do you need really to spam every thread that says "lights" with the same post?

We're really sorry to hear that.

Could we know about the reasons? We'd love to make us better!

We appreciate your kind words and suggestions.
