Received a couple messages that the pics were not working anymore and I cannot figure out for the life of me how to get them to post from Dropbox. I ended up attaching all of them to their respective posts.
You inspired me to try and do the same thing. Here are my small steps so far. Slowly working my way down the grill, and I did the side emblems as well. This weekend I will finish the front, and tackle the back!
I really like the look against the white.......not sure it would look as good with nautic blue, and I live in new england, not sure it holds up against winter road rash from salt / sand
Thanks for this thread, I’ve learned a lot and succeeded in dipping my 2013: front emblem and chrome strip, Limited words on the side, and the roof rack. I have a question about the silver bit on the back. The underside has the backup camera, the handle that lifts the hatch, and then there’s the up/down arrows for the window. Did you spray over these items and then peel the dip off? I’ve held off on that part, not being sure about spraying the camera and arrow buttons.
Also, as this is an older thread, is your dip still holding up?
$100 worth of plasti-dip and maybe $300 to get it professionally painted. This plasti-dip doesn’t appear to last from what I’ve seen. Getting parts painted such as the valance at a paint shop is actually very affordable if you just take the part in. Lasts a lifetime as well.
