Thinking about trade my '12 SR5 for a '14 TE.

Once you put the soon to be released supercharger in it, you'll be fine.

well I timed my purchase based on the next gen cycle. by the time the 2nd year of the next gen comes out, I should have this one paid off 4 yrs.
since it will be a new gen, I will wait the year after it comes out to decide to get it. unless they greatly improve the interior features I will hold out.

lol... I won't be done paying for my 03 until 6/2018. Doubt I'll keep it that long, I'll most likely end up trading for a Camry. Gas is $3.79 in ATL and let's just say my gauge hasn't been above 1/4 in like 4 months.

been there done that, traded my 2004 v8 sport in for a sonata back when gas was around $4.50 and have not been happy since.
I've bounced around a '07 sonata se v6, '09 rav4 sport v6, '10 legacy 3.6R and finally was able to get back into a 4runner. this time around I said screw the gas and haven't been happier.

I'd never go near a Hyundai, lol. I had an Elantra as a rental when my tailgate was getting fixed & it had 300 miles on it and there were rattles, squeaks, the seats were hard as a rock, I'm 6'1" and my head left marks in the headliner. We back and traded that for a Camry and loved it, even though it was a LE 4 cylinder (I'd buy a SE V6 of the 2010 or so model year since they're cheaper lol) but I had it for a week and put gas it it once when I was taking it back. Only took about $15 or so to get it from 1/4 to 1/2 (when gas was barely over $3). It was one of the most comfortable, smooth driving car with a damn good factory audio system. I loved it so much I even waxed it, and it was a rental LOL.

All this useless speculation.

Hopefully with the 2016 Tacoma debut, there will be a better idea of engine & transmission options to be expected in the 6th gen T4R.

My thoughts as well!
I did hear that the next gen 4R hasn't been planned yet and it's future is up in the air. Take this info with a grain of salt. I hope this proves false. Has anyone else (honestly) heard differently?
