275
There are at least 3-4 other trucks with pics of the 275's, can't remember if they are in lifted thread or standard pic thread. All were 10-13 runners, I know as I considered it before buying my current tire, may consider it on next set given lift is coming for me. They looked good.

I promised my wife I would not modify my new for me (2012 4Runner trail) truck, but after joining this board I've started saving up for 275/70r17 tires (most likely Copper AT3's) and Bilstein 5100 shocks! im hoping she wont notice the difference! Does anyone have a picture of the Coopers in this size? i would love to see them on the stock suspension or running the bilstiens.

lets compare 265/70/17 with 275/70/17 BF Goodrich T/A KO :fencing:
275/70/17 Load Range E 3195 lbs. only avail. Tire Weight 55lbs Sect. Width 11" Tread Width 9,2" Overall Diam 32,2" $ 227 265/70/17 Load Range E 3195 lbs. or Load Range C 2470 lbs good for t4r Tire Weight E 53lbs C 45lbs Sect. Width 10,7" Tread Width 9" Overall Diam 31,8" E $ 242 C $211 I think is hard to see 3/8" different in sec. width but is different in tire weight - worth it ? |
heres mine
Here's my stock suspension runner with 275 BFG's. And yes i know the hitch step is lame...

Subyguy,
thanks!!!! those are some slick pictures. my friend was talking me into buying some aftermarket 17x8.5's rather than powdercoating my wheels...but it looks like the factory wheels and those tires tuck nicely into the rear fender if need be. I am not confident the aftermarket wheels will do the same. http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/...2.jpg~original |

Lord Lost, how is the ride quality with the Coopers? Did you notice any big difference in ride quality or noise? Nice looking truck!

Thanks to all those who posted pics and experiences in this thread!
Still love the 4Runner, but am starting to notice the nosedive more and more. Not quite as bad as our older GX, but would like to remedy it in the future. Have had great experiences with 5100's on previous vehicles and the adjustability on these have sold me. 285's and a lift will hopefully happen down the line, but for now the 275's combined with the Bilstein's will be perfect with having to park in a garage and not upsetting the wife too much. - Jeff |

thanks for posting pictures of your ride...setup looks great! so i am settled on 275's...i am now researching BFG TA KO's vs Cooper discoverer AT3's. i like the looks of the TA KO's but the AT3's are a bit less expensive! |
