I made the purchase a few months ago, but I haven't had a chance to really get outdoors with the new TE. I purchased the '12 SR5 on a whim and put about 20,000 miles on it over the years. After doing the proper research and finding the perfect '14 TE I made the trip to Durango Colorado to pick it up. At the time it was impossible to find a white '14 TE with KDSS.
Ol' Girl
First stop, Plasti Dip that front silver bumper...
A few photos from this wheeling this weekend.
Man's best friend
2,500 mi.... Instead of fixing the flat, I replaced the tires with Duratrac's

Nice to see another member from NM! I just got my new TE too and started a build thread as well. First thing I did was black out the lower bumper lip too. Looking forward to seeing how your build goes.

Do it! I ended up getting some trail damage this weekend and I think the Plasti dip took most of it.

Yeah, I think it looks better black vs. silver as well.
Bummer about the trail damage already but glad you're not afraid to put the rig on the trail. Where did you go four wheeling in CO? I was up there twice this past month in the Pagosa Springs area. Great time!

With the TE I have only done Jemez. I did Forest Road 376 (Gilman Tunnel) to 144 to 99 and eventually Abiquiu. With the SR5 I did a bunch of the trails around Telluride including Imogene pass. I am looking forward to putting a lift on and heading back when the snow thaws in the TE.

All great areas; love going to Jemez and the tunnels. I have also done Imogene Pass (I used to live in Ouray for a bit). If you can believe it, I also did the Pass with my lifted full sized Blazer back in the early 80s. Got a lot of looks from the Jeepers even back then...lol.
