My understanding is the manufacturing process is complete, and the product will be released to dealers in the near future. How soon is the question, and the poor young lady who answers phones at AMP has been besieged with calls asking about T4R power steps.
In the meantime I recall some questions from people thinking the step protrudes from the side and looks awkward on a Runner. Actually it's just the opposite, as they tuck under and look quite natural.
If you look below the bottom of where the doors close that area is designed with a squared off end so it runs more or less right below with the same squared off corner. Then standing back from your rig below that lower are you see part of the undercarriage.
However with the power steps in place they tuck right under that lower area and appear part of the design. For lack of a better description lower body cladding / protection. The net affect is a more finished look and the best part as far as I'm concerned you don't see all the undercarriage stuff.
I'm planning to take lots of photos today or tomorrow of my rig with the steps from normal perspectives and angles, rather than close ups from angles very close to the ground. That way you'll see the steps in the same way they look to driver and passengers, as well as people on the street.
