My 2014 super white build thread
Hello all. I recently purchased a 2014 SR5 4runner. I've been lurking around here for a while but haven posted much. I've had a couple 4runners. An '88 SR5, an '04 sport and now my '14 SR5. To start I loved my 4th gen but the head gasket was leaking into cyl 6. I didn't feel like doing the repair and I knew the 5th gen was really what I wanted. I've also had a couple other cars that have been apart of build threads on other forums. '09 WRX, '02 WRX, '89 VW GLI, I'm a mechanic by trade and a fisherman and brewer for fun.
Plans for the build are;
3" lift (to do)
bump out sliders (to do)
Load warrior basket (done)
blacking out some stuff (Partially done)
10-13 trail wheels (to do)
BFG all terains (to do)
Here's some pics!
With my 4th gen
After we got it home
Yakima load warrior
And painted black roof rack and Toyota grille emblem

Nice rig. You will love it! Not too far from my neck of the woods.

A mechanic, fisherman, and brewer? Wish we were neighbors! You are gonna love that new SR5. I sure do love mine. Had it a month. That super white looks good with blacked out emblems.

Haha thanks! I got mine may 14th so almost a month for me too. I think I'm just going to get new SR5 badges and 4runner emblem, then paint them black. I really don't want to mess with re-adheiring the badging.

Subscribed. I bought a white SR5 4WD in April and am looking forward to seeing what you do.

I'll try and keep it updated as much as possible. Baby on the way so money will be tight for this build. I'll find a way though. Lift and tires is priority right now.

I'd also like to find a trail hood.

Nice SR5 I just bought a super white one as well few weeks ago. I already have a OME lift kit for and a set of 13 trail wheels I also ordered a front runner rack for it. Looks like it's gonna be a money pit for me since I can never leave a vehicle stock. Cant wait to get everything installed still trying to decide what tires to run. Good luck and looking forward to your build.

Where did you find the '13 trail wheels and how much were they? I really like those wheels.

I bought a set on Flea bay, there is a set for sale here in the classifieds as well. You can also find them on the FJ forums since it's the same wheel. They came in both silver and light grey on the FJ's so make sure you know what you wan't before you buy them. Any way I went with silver ones good luck on your hunt.
