Ok so i purchased a Curts brake controller kit thats plug and play, i chose this one because you can adjust the braking force for trailer brakes when pressing the brake, it also has a manual braking control lever AND it does not need to be mounted leveled like some controllers. Anyways, i didnt want to mount it where most people mount it, under the steering wheel, dont like drilling into places you can see, so i decide to mount it into the center counsel like so:
I first took this panel off, it very easily pulls off:
Then i got my dremel ready
made the necessary hole, being careful not to go too deep and damaging something... thats what she said
once the hole is big enough, you can run the wire through and see it out the other end from where you removed that panel, plug it into the trailer plug in and bam, nice little spot to rest your brake controller
when your not using it, tuck it away
