Decided to dip, but .....
... I want to take the front chrome wing off the upper grill. Seems like this would be the easiest way to spray it.
The RM doesn't show how, and I Google-searched a lot. Found everything BUT the wing. It's probably easy, but thought I'd ask.

Super easy. Couple of screws and some pinch clips. I simply took the cover off and you can see it from the top. Takes only a min or two. The Toyota symbol is just clips IIRC. I separated it first then take the rest of the chrome wing off. Once you start it will make sense.

So, that's why I couldn't find anything eh? ..... because it's so easy.
Thanks for the fast reply.

It's like looking in the repair manual for the physical location of your headlight assembly...

It was simple enough to just tape the area off for me - if this would accomplish the same end result that you're after. It took me about 15 min to tape it off properly with a thicker roll of frog tape.
Just be sure to pop the radiator cover and tape behind the toyota emblem as well.

Ah, I knew I'd get that from someone, and deservedly so. Well done sir.
I was going to make the post last night, after searching for 1/2 hr., and chickened out because I KNEW what was coming.

I tried so hard to not hit submit, but every time I thought of the irony, I couldn't stop laughing. I was just hoping it'd be taken in good humor. Glad everyone took it the way it was intended.

It's the new guys that have the problems. The old guys understand. All the PC crap going on now is what is expected here I guess. Well, I'm not going down without a fight.

Yeh, after all the jerking around I did masking off the liftgate, I think this is the way I'll go. Besides, I can drive it while I'm painting.
