T3VBCO's 2014 Trail Build Tread "The Hulk"

My Mother affectionately named it "The Hulk," so I figured I'd stick with that. I just returned to the States (currently in Colorado) from my third deployment to the Middle East and bought this beauty as a present to myself.

I will keep this first post updated with current set up and a photo of the current set up, and will continue to update as the build progresses. Subsequent posts will document my journey as I seek 4Runner perfection.

2014 Toyota 4Runner Trail Edition with KDSS
Current Set Up as of 23 July 2014

Lift: Toytec 3" BOSS Coil Over Suspension Lift, Total Chaos Upper Control Arms
Tires: Mickey Thompson ATZp3, Size-305/65R17E
Wheels: Mickey Thompson Sidebiter II, Size-17x9, 5" Backspace, 0 Offset
Exterior: N-Fab Wheel to Wheel Steps, OEM Toyota Roof Rack w/ Cross Bars
Interior: Toyota Heated Seats, Toyota All Weather Floor Mats
Electrical: Toyota Remote Start
Engine: TRD Oil Cap, TRD Radiator Cap (totally justifies any TRD logo that I decide to put on the truck later plus I heard it adds like .06913 horsepower)

Current Photo:

It's still mostly stock at this point, I have lots of plans for this baby but won't spill the beans until they actually come to fruition!

Let me know what you guys think!

The day I picked up The Hulk, I got right off of the plane from my deployment and went straight to the dealership. I walked into the bay and saw this beauty and I fell in love.

Touching it, ever so soft hahaha

Drove it to a hotel until I found a place to live. I seriously considered just staying in the truck

Finally got an apartment with a garage. It fits, barely!

Got some goodies in the mail! Tires, Wheels, and Steps. Truck PrOn Tire & Wheel n00dz below

Installed the N-Fab Steps, FYI they go on backwards for a 4Runner.

Picked up the All Weather Mats from the Dealer, I had them in my last Tacoma and loved them so I got them for the 4Runner.

Lift FINALLY got here, I must say it rides smooth as butter. I've typically used spacer lifts in the past and let me tell you there is no comparison. A+ Products. Paired with the Mickey Thompson wheels and tires makes a quiet, grippy, and responsive ride. I was hesitant to go with such a non-aggressive tread as everything on my past rides has been used for mud, sand, or rock crawling.

Anywhere here it is!

Colorado sunsets are pretty, but this is prettier.

Stance.

Got lucky enough to drive past a stock Trail Edition today. Had to stop to compare!

I need to adjust my front coils to raise the front end a little more.

1st: Thank you for your service! Totally understand the sacrifices (10 yrs as a Submariner in the worlds greatest canoe club! )

2nd: Awesome...just awesome. Making it harder & harder for me to wait for my 2014 4R TEP to arrive. I feel my bank account shrinking rapidly... (and there are tons of locations in CO where you can observe a most-stellar sunset or sunrise!!)

Awesome build! Great pic of the difference between stock and your Mod; looking forward to seeing how it comes along.

love this when you have a lift, new tires & wheels, etc and you consider this mostly stock. hate to see what happens when you start calling it NOT stock.

otherwise nice looking.

Talking

Not impressed until I see your sticker mod.

On a serious note, thanks for your service and glad you're back Stateside! The truck is looking great and looking forward to seeing more!
