Texas members: chance to get out and wheel coming up in September
Fallout 2015 Tickets in Marble Falls, TX, United States
This is the last week to signup. Event is Sep 18-20th.
Fallout 2015. Not sure why it is called Fallout, the previous name was FJ Fallout. It has nothing to do with peppers or anything like that.
Its just a family friendly wheeling event open to vehicles of any type and capability, but the vast majority happen to be Toyota's because of the previous FJ focus.
There are trails to accommodate any level and there will be guided runs for beginners and intermediate. I know of a few guys that will be there in hard core crawlers, but I doubt any 5th gens will want to follow them around. Even a 100% stock 4wd 5th gen should be able to have fun and not damage anything if you stick with the beginner runs. Intermediate runs will beg for a lift and AT tires, but a stock trail should be fine with a few scrapes on the skids here and there.
Should be a great opportunity to see a nice area of Texas (Marble Falls/Texas Hill Country) and to get your pavement princess into it's native habitat.
I'm posting in the 5th gen section because I know there are many new owners here.. Hope to see some of you out there.

I rode my motorcycle to Marbles Falls from Nolanville this weekend. Nice ride and area. Unfortunately I would be away supporting a military exercise during that time.

Sounds like fun. I've been wanting to get down there. However, having shoulder surgery on the 17th, so I'll be out of action for a couple of months.

Good luck. I've been trying to avoid surgery on mine. Finally getting back to normal. I was about 95% after months of rehab and flipped over the bars and landed on it again....

Thanks. I've put it off for far too long. Been practicing getting in and out of my truck without using my right arm to figure out how I'm going to get around. I've had a torn labrum for years and the addition of two bone spurs have put me over the edge.

I Really wish I could join you for this. I am about 90 minutes away, in Helotes, and this would be great to test out the new 4runner. The problem is... We will be in MN for the Superior 50 trail race. Hopefully everyone will be able to save the date, and we can get together next year !!

Might give it a try, along with the dog, for part of the weekend.
I've been to Northwest OHV Park in Bridgeport a few times, so it'd be nice to see some other scenery in another part of Texas.
Sadly, I'm still stock...thought I would've done at least the skids and sliders by now.

Shouldn't be any issues. I believe all of area B camping is reserved for the event. There should be a check-in tent setup and manned almost the whole weekend.
