2nd Round 5th Gen Snorkel Group Buy
I have been getting PMs and a couple phone calls regarding the 5th gen snorkels. I figured they we well enough received and I am happy enough with them to go ahead and do another round.
The price will be a couple bucks higher this time, last time I got hit twice with charges; one port fee of $80 and another transit fee of $46.
Last time the snorkels were $392 this run will be $405 (includes $15 per snorkel for FedEx shipping)
I will order extra this time again (more than 1) and the regular price will be $465
Just drop your name here if you are interested, once we get 5 people I will place the order and cover the other 5 snorkels.

Just a little more shipping charges. Based on my shipping for the FJ Snorkels, my Canadian customers pay $45 more shipping. as always you also have duties when it crosses the border, but you do not pay them to me. 'im only 3.5 hours from Canada, you could always come down and we can install it, then you pay no shipping or duties.

on the fence...looking for some advice
I'm still on the fence. Has anybody on this forum actually made use of their snorkel? How deep does the water need to be in order for the snorkel to 'do it's job' (let's assume a 3" lift)? Or is this purely an esthetic thing (which is cool, as long as we're being honest)?
I've done my research, but looking to get t4r opinions/experiences/actual photos.
Thanks

Now that people have successfully installed this and the price is no longer $600, sign me up.

The water has to go past your headlamps. I haven't been in a situation where its gone that deep yet. You can check to see if it's doing it's job, after installing it, put your hand on the snorkel topper with the engine on, if you can feel that its sucking in air, it's "doing its job". I'll be hitting the Ozark Overland Trail in October, suppose to have some real deep water crossings, my next concern though is all the electronics, most likely have to relocate them to somewhere in the trunk.

Here is the update:
I just placed an order for 4 of them, One goes to Sergio at Baja Rack and the other three are avail first come first serve.
I am not having these shipped on my container this time (it was a nightmare last time with customs) so they will be here near the end of this month, or beginning of next.
I would have ordered more, but I cannot tie that much cash up into these snorkels, they simply do not have a big enough market.
If i need to add to my order I can up until Monday evening, but pre orders must be made BEFORE Monday COB.
ORDER HERE

I may have not been clear. I do apologize.
the $405 price was offered as a "group buy" style price. Basically, anyone wanting to order before I placed my stock order could get in on it at my cost. It was to let some other folks that missed the first buy get in on this one, and it keeps me from using up my money on inventory. But after nearly a month, I have had no commitments, so I just ordered 4 for stock..
I have adjusted the sale price down to $405 for this weekend only, when I come back in on Monday I will add any of your orders to my current order and the price will go back up to $465.
I hope all this babble makes some sort of sense..... I would like to get a couple dozen of these out there and then in the future stock them and make some money on them. There has to be enough info on them and feedback to make people want them.
call or PM me with questions.
