2014 4Runner SR5 - Tire possibilities
Hi everyone,
I am a new, first time 4Runner owner. Amazing vehicle! I would like to put on some beefier wheels and tires, without lifting it. I see that this is a popular topic on this site, but haven't seen any discussions specifically for 2014 models, so hopefully this isn't too much of a broken record.
First of all, I'd like to get the 2015 TRD Pro Series all black wheels, assuming they're eventually sold separately. These wheels appear to be a 17" / 7" wheel, so pretty much same dimensions as stock SR5 alloy wheels. As I'm sure everyone knows, stock tires are P265/70R17.
So my question simply is, how much bigger of a tire can a 2014 4Runner take before negative things occur like rubbing? I would fine with keeping wheel diameter and just expanding on tread width, such as a P275, if possible.
Also, would it be worth it to move from P rated, to LT?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
