BIG Weed = Fun with chainsaw and winch

Cutting down a very tall and leaning /curved mimosia weed tree

may have seemed like a great bit of fun, but a standard rule of rigging in industry is to never use the same equipment (esp. slings) for lifting as you would for towing. also, is that a dynamic or static strap?

great saw btw, I've had the same one for years, never once let me down

Static tree strap.Really I only barely used the winch line. I just wanted to make SURE it fell where I wanted it. It would have hit a wrought iron fence if it went the way it leaned.

Made the wedge cut, then the back cut, and then stepped back and bumped the wireless remote twice and it fell where it I wanted it.
