Poly-Urethane Body Mounts

I've got a thread going in the 4th Gen Section regarding trying to scope out interest for Poly Urethane Body Mounts. The similarities between the 4th and 5th Gen 4Runners is such that while the part numbers on the mounts are different, I highly suspect that a set designed for the 4th gens would easily and comfortably fit the 5th gens.

So please visit the thread and post your opinion/vote.

and the benefit to this would be? I mean it was a popular mod in the Jeep world but I'm not sure what the benefit would be on the 5thgen as they are so new...

Poly body mount bushings on my 3rd gen 4Runner had a very negative impact on NVH. They transmitted much more road induced vibration as well as engine noise and vibration, and generally made for a lousy driving experience. I'll never go that route again.

I agree, for 5th gens its not a very big deal. But if its going to be like the 4th gens are right now. Its 10yrs and the only body mounts you can get are from Toyota and for a full set with hardware its over $600. My body mounts on my '04 are starting to deteriorate at about 10yr/110k. Not to mention those of us who are doing a body lift later down the vehicle's life may want to swap them out while doing it.

A few of us mentioned it the thread that it would have to be a softer durometer most likely. Body mounts shouldn't be too stiff in my opinion as you said it would make the ride more unbearable. But I would also venture to say that the technology between the 3rd gen and J120/J150 vehicles is a bit better.
