No what I was saying was people with 14-15 TE do not have THAT rack it's different as you can see in javelin's pic ? The rack on 14-15s is same as my SR5 rack . And yes I bought the TE rack !

Paint is only an option if youre not going to use the rack. With using it, 1 small ding will take the paint off.

Does anybody know if the TE rack weight capacity is the is the same as the SR5/LE? ~130 lbs I think...
Looks more stout but I have no idea is that has anything to do with it.

I also have a complete 2015 Trail roof rack that was removed the second day I got my T4R. Its located in Denver. Also PM me if you want to buy it. I'm a motivated seller. OEM crossbars can also be included as well!

yes but you would need to order the weather stripping ( the black rubber strip) to run a 14/15 roof rack on your earlier 4runner... or visa versa

I have a brand new Trail Edition (BLACK) rack with crossbars, and am debating on selling the setup due to having a Gobi Rack now. I guess I would entertain offers. I'm located in Batavia, NY.

Our '15 trail doesn't look like that all black tall one. It has black end caps and is silver in the middle? We get ripped off?
