Cracking/Snapping Noise Front Driver's Side
I am trying to figure out a cracking/snapping noise I hear when going over speed humps (not bumps, humps are wider) or when the suspension extends and compresses when changing elevations (i.e. pulling out onto a street from a side street that may be at a 15 degree angle, right when the tires hit and the suspension responds). In the cab it sounds (and feels) like a pop. It happens maybe 1 out of 3 times.
Have already torn down the entire assembly on the driver's left side and have seen or felt nothing wrong. The ball joints have been replaced, the tie rods also, and the shocks were replaced with Bilstein adjustables inside stock springs.
Dealership confirms they can hear it right when my tires hit the alignment machine when driving the vehicle onto the rack.
I don't know what else to look for, but don't want to stop because it sounds terrible.
Any ideas or similar experiences out there?
