Black or Bronze Wheels?
I'm close to pulling the trigger on a set of Konig Countersteer X wheels for my black SR5 2010 4runner and I'm going back and forth between black or bronze.
Every truck I see has black (which looks amazing) but haven't seen any bronze... but also looks pretty sweet on black rigs. Just don't want it to look like a kids tuner.
Thoughts?

I love the look of bronze wheels on a black rig. If you don't want it to look like a tuner just get some pinstriping and trail damage on it

Get what you want and don't worry about what anybody else thinks. Some people think my rig is goofy, some think it's BA and some people don't even notice...well, maybe they do but just don't care. The same will be true for whichever wheel you get. I like both.

Rock rash makes either look better! I'm getting to the point on the pinstripes where I have very few places without some. Looks so much better than high gloss! Lol

Heh, I get this most often from Rubi drivers that are obviously mall crawlers. They stare straight ahead when they're next to me at a red light and you can tell they're making sure not to even glance in my direction.

I always remark how nice and clean and unmarked their diffs are. They really get confused. lol. "Wow, those diffs look brand spanking new!" Never fails to give me inner jollys.

The wheels are great, and very light to help keep your unsprung mass down.
The bronze on the countersteers is pretty subtle, so you don't have to worry so much. ie: not like the bright gold appearance of the comparable Volk wheels.
The black looks great with pretty much any color, but I really like the Konig bronze on a Black, Grey, Green or White 4Runner/FJ.
Check my sig for some example pictures if you like.

The six shooter bronze is really subtle. To the point that some people think they are gray.

You can always plasti dip black... Bronze gets you options.

I say bronze. Gives it some nice contrast.

I would say go bronze, but I may be biased, because I put them on everything I own..
I even plastidipped the OEM wheels Bronze-ish when I put the snow tires on.

I have a black 2011 SR5 and chose the black countersteers.
Check out
@ adio3x
build thread for some nice pictures of a black 4runner sr5 with black countersteers. Also
@ cbielat
has some on a gray sr5 which look great.
I thought about the bronze, but thought it would clash with the various chrome bits on the SR5. I'd put up some pics, but I don't have them mounted yet, I'm thinking about just sticking with the stock wheels now..

I struggled with this when choosing wheels for my black 07. While I absolutely love burnt bronze/ matte gold/ etc on Black and White, I decided black was a classic look.
After chewing up my wheels on the trails, i'm glad I haven't plasti-dipped them.
I had matte gold on this a few years back though and loved it.
