2015 Trail edition 18"tires and Cooper Tires rubbing

I just put 18" American Outlaw wheels and Cooper ATP Owl tires on today and have some minor rubbing while backing up or turning hard. Is this normal, I am planning to put a leveling kit on as well.

thanks for any input...

Hard to tell without the tire size. See the tire fitment guide here Modifications, Write-Ups, Quick Links, and FAQ's

tires and wheel size

The wheels are 18x9

The tires are Cooper ATP Owls 275/65/R18

I measured the width of the tires and got 10.5"...I have about 2" clearance from the front of the tires to the inside of the wheel well and about 4" from the back of the tire to the mud flap. Can't for the life of me figure out what the rubbing is?

Have some drive it slowly while you stand outside and watch?

Drive it longer and look for shiny spots indicating rubbing?

Turn the wheel left and measure..... then turn the wheel right and measure.

They are probably rubbing the front lip of the fender itself. It's common problem when we switch to taller or wider wheel/tired combos. And it's a pretty easy fix. Until you go way bigger on the tires.
