I have wanted to start my own adventure thread for sometime with the hopes I can share some of my experiences with the nice people on this forum.
Anyways, I will start with introductions, next provide some background and then for the good stuff aka photos - because without photos this thread would be pointless.
I currently reside in Idaho working for a construction company. I have a passion for flannel threads, good tequila, and cars. I have been wheeling since I was 15. Yes in Idaho you can receive a license at the age of 15 - we have the potato farmers to thank. My previous off road rigs have consisted of a 1995 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer edition, 1994 Jeep YJ, and a 1999 Toyota LC100. I still own the 1994 YJ and it will remain a family toy until the day I die. Now for the reason I am here bother you all. I picked up a 2015 Inferno TRDP on 12/19 and so far have successfully put 1,300 miles on her. And now for some photos.
The week after I picked up the new rig we departed to sunny Arizona for our first trip together on christmas eve. She's a sweet ride, by far the most comfortable ride I've had in a 4x4.
So now I am planning the trip back to cold Idaho.. The trip down to AZ was a straight shot of 14 hours, only stopping when the gas tank required it. The ride up should take three days, destinations include the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and any dirt road worthy in between Scottsdale and Idaho.
Anyways I was hoping for some feedback on which dirt roads to pursue on my conquest back to the potato state. I am not too familiar with the great state of Arizona nor have I spent much time in Nevada.. I am looking for anything light duty, more "soft road" than rock crawling because remember - this is my Daily and more importantly I need to get back to Idaho. Thanks in advance to whoever finishes this extremely long post - I promise to make the future post short on words and more on adventure photos.
Cheers,
