Uptheirons Build and Adventure thread.
So this won't be as detailed or as adventurous as many of the other ones, but i thought id start one anyway. I Work a shift work schedule out of town, 10 days on, 10 days off, so i often get away on multi day trips either camping or snowboarding. Which is why i wanted a 4Runner, enough room to pack everything i need or want, but small enough and better on gas than my Pickup, it was the perfect fit. although i seem to be spending all the gas savings on Parts and toys ofr the damn thing.
Started last January when i got my first Toyota ever, 2014 4Runner Trail Edition Premium.
Slowly progressed with some small things; Weathertechs throughout, Blacked out the Toyota Logos, Changed the Shift knobs... some easy things.
Next was Tires, Decided on the BF Goodrich A/T KOs. Had them on My truck since i bought it, and I've always been happy with it, so i bought them for my 4Runner as well.
Somewhere in Northern California
Next up was a trip down to Palm Springs in April for the Coachella Music Festival, my girlfriend and I took about 3 weeks for this one. Over to Vancouver, and down the whole coast to LA, and then over to Palm Springs for the Festival. Afterwards we went up through the desert, and over through Yellowstone (which unfortunately was inaccessible the day we wanted to go through).
Random shot while i was driving through the Rockies...
and another random shot of the rockies, sorry for the lack of 4Runner...

After camping and some light off roading over the summer i decided it was time to go a bit further, the lift is coming soon, still haven't totally decided what i want to do, although as of now i am leaning to OME. i Think it will serve my needs perfectly, and be more than durable enough for what i do.
Before i get around that i got rid of the stock running boards, got N-Fab wheel to Wheel nerd steps to replace them, better clearance, and i don't see needing sliders (yet).
Also added some Rigid Industries LED Flood lights up front, and ill eventually be adding more.
Shoutout to Desert Dawg for the idea of the mounting position on these!
As of today i have received my 3/4 Length Roof Rack from Drabbits, as well as my CBI Ditch Light Brackets and Air-On-Board switches, so hopefully i have all of that stuff off before i head back to work!

Not much for Mod updates quite yet, but i did go on a bit of an adventure. Last Wednesday a friend and I drove down to Jackson, Wyoming to do some snowboarding. Had the 4Runner just over a year now, already got 32000 KMs on it after this trip.
Driving through the Pass between Idaho and Wyoming, 200am
Leaving at 600am on Sunday

Hit up the Gear Shop here in Calgary and finally got my Lift Ordered, went with the Old Man Emu 3" lift, and I'm likely gonna add some Total Chaos UCAs. Anyone that lives in Calgary or area that doesn't know about this place, check em out. Nathan is great, really knowledgeable and helpful.

Do you have any daytime pictures of the 3/4 length rack? I'm interested in one and I'm trying to find some pictures of it. It seems like you're the only one with it!

Only Pictures i have are the ones in this thread already. At the moment i haven't had time, nor the weather (I don't have a garage that my 4Runner fits in) to actually install the rack, and i may end up waiting until later in march or april to do it, hopefully not, but i might. As soon as i have it installed, ill be posting pics in here, and in the Camelback Thread. sorry man!

So you're the reason they didn't have time to install my roof rack! Haha.

Went there last year for our annual guys snowboard trip, loved it!
Did you check out the "Million Dollar Cowboy Bar" while you were in town. Always an interesting time. Met a linebacker from the Cowboys while we were there.

Yeah, apparently. I told Nathan I could install it all for you while I was waiting for my shocks.
