It would be incredibly surprising if Toyota changed anything in the suspension geometry, on a model year without even a face lift, that they have been using since 2003. I would have to think someone else here with a '15 would have installed a lift by now and encountered the same problem, but maybe not.

i think folks will be interested to know exactly what is different and what ICON is redesigning its track bar for. do they plan to offer two different versions of the track bar now? if you could follow up with them and post their response it'd be appreciated.

With Icon's new track bar do you think it will be possible to run long travel in the rear?

This all seems super fishy to me. I have compared a 2013 to my 2014 first hand and did not see any difference. Maybe something was changed on the 2015, but that just would not make any sense in my mind. It is Friday, however, and I have had a few too many drinks.

Any updates on this? New to the forum and looking at purchasing a 2015 TE premium and doing an icon stage 3. Trying to decide if KDSS is the best move.
Thanks for the info!

Works great! And one side has a greaseable bushing.

Ive got a '14 TEP with Icon Stage 2 and the original style Icon Track Bar on it but have never noticed any sound coming from the back at drop. Is this only for new '15 models? Trying to figure out if this is something I need to look into getting to prevent any damage down the road.

Did you see any rubbing on the old one when you switched it out? Also - do you have a part number?
Thanks
@ st8rocks

I got contact when the passenger rear was tucked and the driver rear was flexed. I have a 14.

Rubbing was minimal, I could see where it was taking off paint and I could hear it. I'm a perfectionist so anything I can fix, gets fixed.
Same part number. All 4runner track bars coming out of Icon have a bend no matter the year. Be sure when you order to ask if it is a new style track bar/KDSS compatible. Your seller can confirm with Icon via the build date. Or take it out of the box and look for a bent bar!

Awesome, thanks for the update, Ill go check it out this weekend and reach out to Icon about a possible switch (hopefully they would do that) if its looking like paints rubbing away.
Maybe with the dogs and music going I never heard it.
