Did you install your HID's with the relay?
My Xenon Depot kit came with two relays that according to some videos aren't installed. Some others say it's good to use them.
What did you guys do with them? Install or no install?

Relays or drivers? Relays are not necessary the HID ballasts or led drivers are.

Relays aren't needed for 35W (and you shouldn't use 55W)

I installed mine a few weeks ago with the relays provided.
But, I've had issues with the passengers side not firing occasionally. (Working with XD support currently.) I may try removing the relays to see if its a power/grounding issue with the relays itself.
I wondered the same question on to install the relays or not, but I came to the conclusion that is probably better to use the relays, as you already have them, and to rather be safe then sorry!

No relays and no problems going on a year now. No issues with not firing or such. You should be good leaving them out!

I bought the same HID kit and installed it with the relay harness for piece of mind. Not sure if it's necessary, but it's supposed to help with start up and reduce flicker since it's drawing power directly from the battery.

I’m having the exact same issue with my RAV4 and 4Runner. The passenger side does not fire occasionally. I even sanded the metal area where the ground is bolted. I’m thinking maybe the distance is too long to sufficiently power up the ballast??
Could you please keep me posted if you come to a resolution? Thanks in advance!

Since 1999, I have never used relays on HID kits in all of my cars with no issues.
55w or 35w.

Just installed XD HIDs a week or so ago, no relay. I'm having an issue with the driver's side intermittently not firing so I'm going to try and add the relay to see if that helps. XD support said it may also be cold weather related.

I've installed HID's on 2x 4Runners and 2x Outbacks. I've used the relays on them all. The first time I called XD to ask about it, they were quick to explain that it wasn't required, however, using them did help keep the voltage to the ballast steady since they're usually connected to the battery. While this may have been more an issue on older vehicles when the voltage would draw down at idle due to the reduced alternator output, with any 5th gen it shouldn't be a problem.
Unrelated I will say that that the Philips upgrade is well worth the money over the XD bulbs. The pattern is much more full and bright throughout.

You don't need to use the relays with the kit. I have a '17 TRDORP and installed the XD kit with phillps 4300k bulbs a few months after I the 4Runner. I didn't use the relays. Minus drilling the hole in the end cap it was 100% plug and play. I love my kit. I didn't even adjust my headlight aim. I do get flashed here and there, but it's only people in really low cars. Not sure adjustment would help that.
Also ... I got the ddmtuning 50w Saber LED bulb in my fogs and high beams. The light temp doesn't match the XD kit but is amazing. These are plug and play without relays.
Hands down, this is the best mod I've done.
