Discount tire doesn't mind them, they'll even check the torque on them if you ask nicely.

I'd like to know too, the cheapest I've found is a set of 4 for 189 + free shipping from 4wheelparts, coupon code is 10OFFCOUPON.
Good to know discount tire is ok with spacers, Les Schwab and Tire Rama are the ones that hassled me about working on my Tacoma.

All this hype about the safety of spacers has been pretty much debunked. Most any failure has been proven to be installation errors.
I also see no need to remove the spacers just to clean behind them. If the torque remains good after the first check and all subsequent rotation checks, then I wouldn't mess with removing them for no reason.
Lastly, the only brand I put my trust in is Spidertrax. There may be other quality brands out there worth investigating, but DO NOT buy some cheap Chinese knock off on eBay. It's not worth the savings for those considering them.

Better for the bearings, looks better, no rubbing issues, etc...

^Only one of those reasons is valid...no rubbing issues.
Looks are obviously subjective and there has been no scientifically proven data to suggest that wheel bearings wear quicker with the spacers. It's all speculation and yet another misnomer about this mod.

it's definitely worse for bearings to move the load further from the centerline, and it definitely looks worse having your tires stick out like a cholo truck

dang bro, save some p1ssy for the rest of us. so badass.
looks are subjective...and 1.25 isn't enough to look "cholo"....1.25 is enough to make the tires flush with the fenders actually.

No worries, these DO NOT look like a Jeep Wrangler after installed These just bring the factory wheels out MORE FLUSH with the fenders. I've had people with stock wheels and stock tires also do these, just to fill stuff out more. Just imagine whatever tire size you have now, and then adding these spacers will make it look like you went up another tire size without doing so...
SpiderTrax wheel spacers at Burtman Industries - both blue and black colors in stock and ships same day.

I have just installed spidertrax spacers and I am experiencing little shaking at around 55-60 mph. Really like the look. But think it is a hub spacing problem even they said it is hubcentric. Am I the only one that has this problem? My truck is new with less than 2000 miles and tires are perfectly balance with no vibrating before the install. It is a little frustrating.

Question on 2" Spacers

He used the 4Runner for his vehicle and I know he had lateral forces involved and track with also. If he still has it I will ask him to run a simulation with the width a bit wider and see if that changes any of the cornering speeds by much. I really don't want to tackle that math anymore!

Wondering if he ever ran that simulation? I just bought 2" Supreme Suspension hub-centric spacers and am looking to have them installed next Tuesday with new snowshoes for the 15 SR5 Premium...
Anybody have experience with these?
And if so, any pics?

Yes there absolutely is scientific evidence that proves that wheel bearings wear quicker. Plus it's just common sense. Higher loads = shorter life.
And yes it does cause rubbing. There is no question about the geometry of the IFS that more offset/less back spacing will cause the same size tire to interfere with the front bumper/fender liner and the body mount. If you have stock tires it might clear. If you have larger tires - it's a problem for sure.
It's not a misnomer (or a misunderstanding) these are verifiable facts.
It's also a fact that moving the center of resistance (tread patch) off the tire off the centerline of the steering axis will cause more steering input from road imperfections. - driving comfort goes down.
There are potential benefits visually for some. There are also some benefits offroad - namely in the rear in the rocks it's hard to keep your rear fenders out of the rocks. Wider rear tires can help keep your body damage minimized in some scenarios.
Small changes have small effects. But it's not really debatable that bearing life will shorten and that it will cause the rub points to be worse than they were before.
