Has anyone bought one of the red ones at all yet? I see the option says red/pink....Also wondering if anyone has had them fade a lot like the guy with the green one. That is pretty horrible for them to completely change color.

Changes, no sorry. The bridges are already pretty thin. Version 2 matches the curvature and thickness of the OEM badges.
Read on the posts about the shapeways fading a bit. Any fix to that? Same on other colors as the guy with the green one?

Hey Man. We have the same color rig. Was thinking of getting the black like you did. Now that you have had them a year(or have you?) have they faded or such? Did you treat them with something first?

All the Versatile Plastics prints, as far as I know, start out white color is added later during smoothing. Just FYI UV light is evil as hell on anything plastic/rubber. What until your $500 headlights start fogging after 3 years

You have two options:
1. buy white, prime, paint color of choice and UV clear coat
2. buy a color and apply a UV clear coat.

I used plasti-dip, black, little more than two years ago, they look exactly the same.

Hey Great. Thanks for getting back with me. Our rigs are the same year I think. Maybe I will just do that which you did. Doesn't look too hard from the videos I have seen.

Did you treat your emblem with anything? Or just slap it on as it came?

Wont go directly under who you want to respond to. It will be posted to the end of the thread, much like other forums. To directly reply to someone try quoting.

It does have a bit of a woodgrain looking texture if you look very closely at it. One of those things nobody will notice until you point it out, even then they'll have to get close to see it as it isn't noticeable from any reasonable distance you would ever be from the car, including walking by the emblem to open the door or get in the vehicle.
So you dipped it and it didn't come out great huh? can you send a couple photos?

No he spray painted it and it came out pretty good. Up close (your eyes 12 inches or less from the emblem) you still see the 'wood grain' effect, a result of the 3d printing technique (maybe just at the time, not sure if things have gotten better or not).

To spacer or not to spacer. What mods did you need to do for rubbing issues because of the spacers? If any.

Are the STL files available for this?

Great work on these! I am hoping that someone can help me out. I just got a 3D printer (Ender 3 Pro) and I would really like to try out printing the TRAIL badge that is showcased here. I printed the older version that had the sharp "A" but I really like the look of the stylized "A". Can anyone point me to the .stl file or a website where they are available?

I'd really like to play around with the fill settings and see if I can bevel the edges slightly with sanding.

I created my own .stl files

Hey all, I looked around on the Internet and found a site that can convert images into 3D .stl files. I used the image below at Convert PNG, JPG 2D Images to 3D STL Mesh Model File Free Online Tool - ImageToStl and created it. I did mine at 180 mm wide and 7mm depth. It does come out with a rounded face of the letters, which I wanted, but the way the printer does it makes it look odd. In order to fix this, I added a few layers to the "ceiling" or face of the letters and then stopped my prints early after it completed with one of the top layers. I figured which layer by using the slicer program (Cura) to inspect them.
