Thanks brudda... Yeah I caught some heat from the wifey at base camp.

But she was happy we got the rig home.

Rocky is at the shop for much needed upgrades. We're doing a CSR radiator upgrades and a 15,000BTU #70273 B&M Transimission Cooler.

I've been worried that I might be killing my tranny because I'll hit 240's fully loaded and going up hills. But even when I'm not hot I run 220 to 230 when the incline isn't too steep.

As for John Bull I'm might go back when I get my hands on Marlin Crawlers RCLT kit

Yea all the weight we carry is tough on the drive train. I actually put a little pusher fan w a manual switch on my B&M to help in slow speed situations. I noticed the temps stay pretty high in traffic after I been on the highway. Thick sand keeps the temps up there too, and I'm usually not moving fast enough to keep the air flowing, so the fan helps with that as well. The manual switch is just in case I have charging issues, I don't have to worry about an automatic fan switch kicking on.

No doubt - it won't be cheap. What are you going to do for you tie-rods in the meantime? I keep thinking I keep thinking i want to move up to 35s, but I don't want to keep replacing tie-rods all the time.

This is the first time I bent a tie rod.

Its just the nature of the beast. The 4runner is heavy and at that type of rock. It'll bent tie rods.

The moog ones are a little beefier than factory one.. I might swap them out for those and keep extras. As I've learn how to swap those out.

I actually just snapped one inner tie rod and bent other on my last trip to Windrock in TN. Installed two Moog tie rods as that's all we could find on Sunday in middle of no where. They certainly look heavier but not sure about the quality of the metal in them. Regardless I'm now carrying one as a spare and thinking of carrying two just in case.

Picture below is joy of changing one on trail and needing an alignment after. I was driving straight in the picture with the wheel turned that much.

I was told to remember how many turns it took to take the old ones off and do the new ones going in. Should get me close. Which it did. Still needed alignment afterwards. The steering wheel was a little off ...

That's intense. I was exploring winrock a few months ago and even those green/easy trails were crazy. I felt as if I went further into the trails I would have broke something as well.
