I was on what they were calling a hard blue and wondered off trail by mistake. Let's just say my winch got one heck of a work out and those that helped me said the trail I was on was no doubt a double black diamond.

this is exactly what we did but with the driver side one still bent a little it was impossible to get it that close, but it was in the dark and we had taken off the broken piece hours before so we did best we could just to get off the trail. It was funny as when driving off the trail the steering seemed fine, but when back on the road discovered this.

Inner tie rod gave up the ghost. Hopefully that rock won't be there when I go again next year

Lesson learned for me. I'm planning on switching out both tie rods to moog ones. As keeping the ones on there now for trail back up.

Agreed, I now travel with 2 inner and 1 outer tie rods for back up. they are small and easy insurance to carry.

Where are you guys sourcing your time rods from? rockauto?
I don't mind my moogs rusting and looking dirty, gives it personality. I've donated one on trail fixes at the offroad park.

I get my inners from RockAuto. My spare outer I get from Toyota. i've purchased from Sparks in Mrytle Beach, Toyota Dallas, and this time McGeorge in Richmond, VA. Prices are all over the place between dealerships and my local one is always most expensive.

Last night Rock Auto was $57 each for the Moog inners. When I was broken on the trail we paid about $100 from a local auto parts store in TN. My outer was $39. I will also carry one extra boot and clamps. When I broke the passenger side three weeks ago it bent about 90 degrees before breaking and the boot was still fine, but they are cheap and light to carry on trail. Going back out next week to Windrock and will be over prepared this time.

I still need to replace my clamp. I still only have a very expensive zip tie (ty-rap brand) on there.
I can get those clamps at like auto zone can't I???

I don't see why not. When we replaced mine we reused the stock ones without any issue. you could even use a hose clamp if you couldn't find anything else just like the zip tie.

I have a bunch of updates:
installed the Demello Offroad front bumper :
I paid to have this custom stainless steel filler plate made. Demello made it for me. But they wont make it maybe if you order your bumper with one theyll make one for you ...
heres no filler plate:
versus with filler plate:
I also installed new Diode Dynamics 42" Light Bar, Diode Dynamics SS3 Pros Ditch light ( in a driving pattern) and Diode Dynamics SS3 Pros Fogs

for the longest time ... Ive been battling the "KDSS gangster lean" for awhile the blackgate customs rear spacers fixed the issue. But then I broke a tie rod and had to get the rig re-aligned. And the lean came back.
I ended up getting the Treaty OffRoad front kdss spacer. And it seemed to fixed the issue...
I installed it myself and fixed the kinked kdss bar. suffice it to say... I may need to order new rubber bushing for the front.
this was the lump sided kdss bar
