I have the 50 and it suits my needs. The thing is, the size you get depends on how many days you camp in a row without being able to resupply and how many people.

I have the 50 quart and have been running it for years. Unless you are frequently needing to support more than 4 ppl in the backcountry for multiple days at a time, it is all you'll ever need.

I am thinking about the 50 too...... 37&50 is of the same length and width just taller or shorter...... 63&82 is of same length and width and again just height diff.
63&82 is wider and longer, so overall, take a much larger footprint.
So, I want the smaller footprint, and I don't mind the height.
I have a 20% discount I can use.... so that will get a 50qt close to $600.... seems like a good buy...

What boxes are those? Custom?
Also, have you look into whether the "transit bag" is worth it or not?

I have the engel mt45 and seem that the most popukar sizes are this and the 50quart sizes. It allows you to only need to use a third of the cargo floor area and have ample room for goods in the fridge along with good current draw allowing it to runa few days on a single battery charge.

50Q here too. I seem to remember that its footprint was about the same as the smaller one.

Would also suggest directly wiring it to your battery. I had issues using the truck's 12V plug which I think was because of the existing wire gauge.
ARB offers a wire loom kit which is what I use but others have made their own.
I also like their tie downs.

I need some convincing to spend $700 on a 50QT ARB vs $50 ice cooler....
Actually what kind of use-case, usage, does it justify to have a "freezer/fridge"?
PLEASE HELP ME.....

Yes, drilling was needed.
The only reason for the two lower boxes is because of the dog.

Kind of also illustrates that you really will need/want a slide to access the fridge. It is kind of a pain to be digging around leaning inside the rear hatch.
So this is more of a $2k decision IMO

Absolutely, minimally, you can use this fridge(even 50QT) without a slider. They lid has quick release feature, allow much easier access than any cooler out there even without a slider. Check out the video here:

If I don't have the 3rd row seats, I will be going all out for these drawers. I definitely want these more than just the slider.

Why do you need to do any wiring? Doesn't the ARB fridge connect to the 12V cigarette light plug/jack that is at our cargo area? And doesn't the ARB fridge only draws 0.87amp?
*confused*

One last question...... when you are not using the fridge in your vehicle, can you leave it plugged in at home or at work as a fridge/freezer?
