OME 883 vs Eibach 620
I have a set of 5100's on the way. I was originally going to just go with .85 on the blisteins but then someone turned me on to the idea of 5100s at 0 and adding either the eibachs or the OME 883.

The question is which one 883 or eibach.
883 are 14.76in @590lb (1.5in of lift supposedly, I've read some people got 3") Eibach are 15.125in @620lb (1.6in of lift)

So it sounds like the 883's are more what I'm looking for, a little softer and not quite as much lift, then the guy at toytec said running 5100s w/ OME coils will void both warranties... Can anyone provide a review/opinion of the 2?

The OME 883's are closer to factory spring rate with additional lift. I had 885's installed after I added the SSS bumper and a winch to offset the additional 150 lbs of front weight (it dropped my factory springs a good 3/4"). Reset my 5100's to 0 and ended up with right at 2" of lift after all was said and done. Slightly stiffer, but I am planning to go with a 2nd battery up front eventually so that should smooth it out.

That's the first I've heard about voiding any warranties but mine were both internet orders and I didn't ask. I do have over 5,000 miles on this setup though with no problems.

I ran 883s on my SR5 and had about 1.55"-1.65" after the springs settled with OME shocks. You will not get 3" out of these in less the motor is out of it! Any way that being said they are nice springs if you want a small lift.

I had the 883 springs with a 1 inch top plate spacer on my FJ Cruiser. It was advertised at 3 inches of lift. Minus the spacer I would expect 1.5 to 2 inches of lift after settling. I was very pleased with the ride on and off road.

Is anyone running 5100s in the front (set to 0") with OME 883s and 5100s in the back as well with Toytec Superflex coils?

I am thinking this will give me 2" all around and will work well with 1.25" spaced 275 KO2s, and I can avoid necessitating aftermarket UCAs...

I've read through quite a few conversations on the topic, and there is a disparity in reported lift height from the 883s. Would like to avoid accentuating the factory rake.

884s seem to be more popular but would likely require new UCAs. Damnit, I don't know what to do.

Still curious what the actual lift is for ome 883 springs on 5th gen and no extra weight? Also curious if anyone is running Toytecs in rear with this setup?

Their specs say on a 5th gen 4runner it provides 2" of lift. I have 2883's and they indeed gave exactly 2" of lift with no additional weight added. with weight they did sag some though.

When I installed the Toytec/Eibach 1.6" spring with 5100's at 0, there was initially 2.5" of lift, but it settled down to 1.5" within a day and has stayed there. Much less nose dive on braking and a lot less wandering in crosswinds. They are still pretty soft though, enough compliance to make them comfortable.

Sorry for the necro, I'm currently using 5100's set at 2.5" (installed last October, 56k miles on the rig), and have been wanting to go with an aftermarket spring instead (and drop the perch to the lowest setting). Considering the Eibach for 2.75" or the OME 885 (which I know will be stiffer). I don't have any extra weight on the front, just Cali Raised sliders.

Seems to be a mixed bucket of responses regarding the height I'd get with the 885's, fair to say it would be around 2.5"-2.75"?
