Is there a mod addressing the lack of a switch to turn on all interior lights?

I searched the forum and didn't find anything. I would like to be able to turn on all interior lights with a switch. Has anyone done this?

you mean like when you roll the light tree forward all the way and the interior lights turn on?

haven't seen this option in a 4runner for awhile, matter of fact I haven't seen this option in any Toyota for a while.

To answer your question (F all these jerks, lol) nobody has done it yet- at least nobody has documented it yet. It's been on my to-do list for about 4 years now...

It would be nice if that worked on the 2015 4Runner like it does on 90% of all other vehicles.

Bumping this thread to see if anyone is interested in pursuing this mod. Particularly interesting in using the existing roller switch to activate ALL interior lights when its locked in the "up" position.

Seems like it would be a lot of extra wires to keep things working normal due to the dome/hatch switches having 3 positions. Always on > on when triggered > off. If I really needed it, I would probably tap into the door switch wires so as to have minimal wiring and just use a switch on the dash. Not sure if those switches are NO or NC. Would trigger door open indicator but probably wouldn't matter if you need interior lights.

Tapping in the door open indicator would be easiest. Just wire and interrupt into it so you can manually flip the switch. This would only work if the circuit is "complete" when the door is closed and "open" when the door is opened. If it's vice-versa this won't work.
