Yup, the removable lid was a deal closing feature for me. I was worried about the lid hinging on the short edge but the fact that the lid just slides off makes it a non-issue.

(at the 1:26 mark if time-based link doesn't work)

Mike,

Mike, it was good riding with you the first day of our #KATexpo2016 adventure.

We used a coleman xtreme 70qt cooler for those 8 days. Adding roughly a bag of ice a day. And it wasn't the hottest end of June either. We had a few gripes with a cooler on that long of a trip. While we used two mini trash cans inside the cooler to keep our main food out of the water, when the ice would melt it would float the trash cans and pop the lid open. Thus sloshing water in our cargo area over rough terrain and melting ice faster. Our other issue was as you add ice. The items that can get wet and are mixed in with the ice end up getting barried to the bottom.

We've also made the decision to upgrade to an ARB fridge/freezer.

Anyone else looking for a fridge, I know @TotalAutomotiveLV Total Automotive Performance has their summer sale going on. COUPON CODE "SUM16" and it works for the ARB fridges unlike some other automotive venders.

That code takes the 50 QT from $877.80 to $924. That's a bargain!

Yep. For all of the above reasons its no ice for me soon.
Enjoyed meeting you and your plus reading your reports/pics. Would have loved to have done more. Maybe next time.

Liquid, give them a call. Something must be wrong with @TotalAutomotiveLV computer system. I used the code earlier and if I remember correctly it was around 813 or 817and change after the code.

There we go! Thanks for the notice on the code, I might have missed the new thread about the Summer Sale. I just blew a bunch of money on a kayak and gear but I'll be taking advantage of this deal in a couple of weeks. Fridge time!

Get the slide, I have an indel B, I went with a static mount, will be ordering a slide soon. Static works, but EVERY SINGLE TIME I open it I think about a slide.
