I hear you. I admitted upthread that it was probably a dumb decision. Maybe my frustration meter needs some WD-40 and a whack or two with a ball peen hammer, but the wait, combined with the lack of communication just tripped me to request the refund. Plus, waiting a little while longer for a rack won't kill me.

The thing is, there is no other rack like the Gobi ... just put your pride on hold, and order one direct from Gobi. They are pricy, but great quality, no sales tax, and free shipping plus right now you get one accessory free and a free ladder. In a couple months you'll have the rack you really want. For the record, I have no affiliation with Gobi, other than having ordered one. Also, if you deal direct with Gobi, they won't put the charge through until the rack ships.

I ordered my Stealth rack from trail duty on October 12th. The estimated delivery time was 4-6 weeks on their website. At about 7 weeks I stared calling trail duty, they said they would call back after they talked to GOBI. I never got a call back. I did however, get an email from them the next day saying my rack would ship the next week. Long story short, it took 11.5 weeks total (over a month after they sai it was shipping) I live about 6 hours from Aurora, CO. where it shipped from. Trail Duty never called me back the two times I had called, BUT I did get email replies. I realize trail duty is the middle man, but they did collect my money. I think they should've fought a little harder for their paying customer to get me answers and get my rack sooner. It Missed the Christmas holiday delivery But aside from all the cry baby stuff I'm doing right now, When the rack arrived i was impressed! its a quality rack, just be prepared to wait, and stay persistent on Trail Duty if you order from them.

Wait times this time of year are about 12 weeks is what I was told when I asked gobi myself. Mine came about 10 weeks few weeks ago. Its not in gobi but more so trail duty.

Where did you see the offer for the free accessory and ladder? Gobi's website doesn't mention anything about it.

Would you be able to snap a picture of your final front feet placement? Curious to see how far you located them from the rain gutter wall in visual.

I think those are only offered through Trail Duty, that's where I got mine from. If they're still offering it, it should be advertised pretty heavily.

I called Gobi directly last week to inquire on some information. I mentioned the free ladder and $100 off that Trail Duty had advertised but mentioned that I'd be going through a local shop mainly for the installation (Rack N Road in San Jose, CA). Asked if I could get a free ladder and $100 off. She said all Gobi racks are shipping with free ladders right now, but it would be up to the dealer to pass on that savings to the customer which most more than likely will. She also stated they'd honor $100 off but the dealer would have to ask for that at time of order. Rack N Road quoted me the free ladder and $100 off.

Thought I'd pass this info on so others know that you don't have to go through Trail Duty to get the extra savings.

Sorry I never answered. They gave me the deal verbally when I called to order. Didn't see it on their site. As of Thanksgiving they were giving free ladder plus one free accessory, like the sunroof insert. You'd have to call to see what is up as of now.

I just spoke with Gobi over the phone. She said that the free accessory was only prior to thanksgiving. They currently offer $100 off and the ladder.

Trail duty currently has them $100 off and they come with free shipping and a free ladder.

Yep. Ordered mine a little over a week ago. Just got an update saying 6-8 weeks. $1600 total for Stealth Rack, Ladder, Wind Deflector, and upgraded rear door springs - plus free shipping. Good deal if you ask me.

Ordered mine 8 weeks and 2 days ago, and haven't heard anything yet. They told me to expect closer to 10 weeks. Direct from Gobi.
