Hood Decal // Glare?
First question posed here on T4R. I'm looking to see if anyone makes a hood decal for the 4Runner (with the hood scoop), similar to what's offered for the FJs, in helping cut down glare at night when running a light bar.
We were doing quite a bit of desert night driving, and my light bar is just ungodly when the glare hits the hood.
This isn't a must have, but I figured I'd ask before going too far on a scavenger hunt.

This has been talked about a few times, but for the most part, no.
To mitigate this, others have been vinyl wrapping either the whole hood, or just the scoop itself. Check out Harper7's build or J-BlickPhoto's thread.

Wrap it or dip it, both easily reversible.

Just wrapped Tigger's hood in matte metallic dark grey, easy to do, assuming the hood scoop can be unbolted and wrapped separately from the hood. Took us about 20 or so minutes to wrap his hood (no scoop), and it turned out great!
Material was Oracal's 930RA cast vinyl, you can get it online or from some sign supply shops in your area, as long as they carry Oracal vinyl.
You can see how his hood wrap came out here, lots of info about the job and a mention about reduced glare with matte vinyl:

decals and wraps are cool. I priced out my hood in matte black vinyl, they wanted $400. 3 cans of plasti-dip was $50.

Should have done the whole hood at that point. Looks funny with that little patch of red in front of the scoop.

If you gonna wrap I know a couple of places...I got my wrap done at Highline Customs in Beaverton. Also heard of another place called TCT wraps, they do more custom wraps. Or..nvm, i didn't know 503 motoring does it too.
