My point with 'firm' answer was that dealers know exactly when non-new gen models show up. They want to push leftover 2015 before '16 show up.
As far as scoring a deal on 4R.... 4R offers a Year 2000 tech/mech equipped TRUCK without full time 4wheel drive at a premium price, not a popular combination in this part of the country - Chicago area. Not a lot of mountain/scenic trails in this area, as you know.
Since beginning of the year prices quoted to me dropped by $500-$1000. I said quoted because till I buy one it's only a quote. Plus it's a truck not a Rembrandt, prices are negotiable. Having said that some of the trucks here are almost works of art.
As I care nothing about color combination, was hoping to score some additional discounts but will have to settle for July price. I need it buy July as I have a 17 day CO trip in August and I do not want to take my wife's JGC there.
