14/15 Change? - TPMS in Spare

Before I bought my wheels I did a lot of searching and it seemed like the consensus was that there was no TPMS in the spares on any of the 5th gens. When I was in to the dealer for a TPMS issue a week after purchase they told me the problem was that the spare TPMS sensor wasn't programmed. I kind of assumed they were feeding me a little bs. to be honest at the time.

Finally I got around to setting up Techstream and plugged in to change from winters to summers and found that I do have 5 IDs and pressures reporting. I have a Canadian '15 LE, not sure if it could be a model year change, a Canadianism, or an LE thing or a combo, but thought I would post here in case anyone else is buying a new set of tires and doesn't want to do the electrical tape mod.

According to the 2015 manual, models with the 17" tires do not have one in the spare, models with the 20" tires do. I can't confirm the truth of that, since the manual has been known to lie like a rug.
