Adjustable panhard question
My question is how many of yall with lifts are running an adjustable panhard, like the Sonoran Steel or Toytec version?
I did a search, and didn't find too many people. I ask because I've noticed my rear axle is shifted a little towards the passenger side after my Toytec BOSS lift. I understand that the geometry has changed and the axle can be re-centered either by the springs settling a little more, an adjustable panhard, or a panhard drop bracket.
What are you guys using? Anyone else have an off-center rear axle after their lift?
Thanks! and Happy Father's Day!

Although there may be a very slight shift at ride height with a 3" lift..., it should not be noticeable.
In my case, I would not mind having the ability to adjust mine a bit, since my drive shaft rubs on the gas tank skid at full flex with the driver rear tire tucked. This only happens because I have long travel springs/shocks in the rear. I think a slightly longer panhard would resolve this.

Thanks for the reply...i figured the lack of replies probably means most with lifts are not having any issues. My shift is not a lot, but it is noticeable with the eye...my guess is its only about 1/2-3/4". I hope that with my springs settling a bit (lift has only been on a month and ~300 miles-I've been out of town a lot) that shift I see will not exist.
However, like others on this list, I doubt this is the last time I mod my 4runner...like adding potentially a roof rack, a rear bumper, and then perhaps heavier duty rear springs...so perhaps having an adjustable panhard would be a good thing in the long run.

I run an adjustable panhard. Really doesn't add a whole lot, and the stock unit is pretty stout. It is kinda nice to visually have the back axle centred, but that is about all its good for.

Wouldn't the longer panhard just make the rubbing worse? You would be shifting the axle closer to the tank to center it?

I think you are correct, It's hard to get the geometry loaded up in my head with the arcs.... Maybe shorter is what I meant. Either way, some adjustment would help (but that might offset the axle at normal ride height)
I keep thinking the bars effective length should be starting to get shorter when fully tucked drivers side only, but I've never looked to see what the angle of it is. Also, there could be some frame flex at play.
The odd thing with my drive shaft rubbing is that it did not happen when I had different wheels and tires (285s 0 offset 17x8). I guess the wider track (both wheels and tires are further out) gave it more leverage potential. It is a very slight rub, but very annoying to hear it.
