Smile 2014 4Runner Lift kits

Greetings,

I was curious if any one had suggestions on which lift kit to use on a 2014 TE, I mostly use it for travel to and from work, and off roading during hunting seasons. I have looked at toytech and Procomp, but I am unsure on what company to go with, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your budget helps narrow things down. There's a ton of info on here, especially in the stickies at the top. Plan your budget first, any future mods that weigh a lot like a winch or bumper, and go from there. Too many options to list out.

^^ Very capable so you don't need a ton to get a bit more clearance . Depends on tires & what your look is gonna be 285s ,255s skinny , 275s all that kinda stuff . Check Total automotive lv he offer's new bilsteins 6112 & others . You can kill your brain looking at all the builds .

Doesn't sound like you need a lift kit for any of those things you do (unless it's for looks). First order of business is to get some better tires.

Do more research... Toytec is more prevalent than procomp, I certainly like my lift but usage should dictate what you get.

lift kit

Yeah I agree first order of business is new tires I currently have 265/70/17 on it. I am wanting to a a bit of additional height out of the new tires but I do not want to put tires on that will cause rubbing in the wheel well. Can you possible point me to a tire that might allow me to do this: Called local toyota dealership they said I couldnt fit anything higher than a 265/70/17 on it with out a lift kit, is this true?

I was looking at BFG KO2 LT275/70R17 or LT285/70R17.

Any additional advice would be appreciated.

As far as the complete cost I am looking at getting

New wheels, tires, skid plates, and possible lift for around 4K if possible. Only reason I am looking at skid plats is that some of the areas here on Fort Bragg are rough getting to during deer season.
