Feeler for Prinsu Roof Rack
I met up with a good friend yesterday who has been doing a little bit of a rebuild on his FJ-80, and the next thing up was to replace his Baja Rack. He opens his garage, low and behold, it's the roof rack I've been looking for. The sides are constructed from 1/4" aluminum, and the slats were anodized black aluminum, and the best part—aside from the price—is that it weighed 50 lbs.
Currently Prinsu only makes these racks for the FJC, FJ-80, and Tacoma. I'm hoping to get a handful of people on here to show some interest in a 5th gen model to make my dreams come true.
Here's a link to their website: www.prinsudesignstudio.com
Check out the specs and prices

Well that's uplifting. Does anyone know where in Utah they're located? I'm heading to SLC in September for the NHRA event.

I emailed Zach on 12 July through their website and received a response on 13 Jul.
Here's the email:
"Bob,
Not yet. We have been working on one for awhile but haven't quite wrapped things up yet.

Thanks
@ coulter6
I'll send him an email too. If there are enough people showing interest that may help move things along.

There was a thread on this earlier this year, and someone has a prototype, but they drilled holes in the roof to mount the front feet, which is a major turnoff for me. I mean, I went as far as passing on a Trail Premium just to avoid the sun roof. So there's no way I'm going to do that to my truck.

I agree completely: no way am I drilling my roof, but that thread is from 03-30-2015 and if he still hasn't wrapped up the production design then I can hope that won't be the case.
I don't know what's going on in that thread but the FJ-80 product is really low profile and follows the body lines really well.
And WTF is up with only 4 crossbars?. It would be great if dude could post some better pictures. Or some kind of update.

5th Gen roof rack
I know its been awhile since a post but I was the first fit for the final product of the PrinSu Design roof rack. Here is a side picture of it installed I snapped from my Phone. It has been great so far and i havent really noticed a MPG drop since it being on.
Zach is a one man team, with that there are lots of Pros and Cons. My experience has been great so far. The new rack is on his site already. Ive been in talks with him about a rear ladder as well, but he is slammed with his day job.

(Dont mind the lift, I am trying to figure out why its not closer to level currently 2.5 in front with bilstein 5100 and 2" toytech springs in the rear)sYK.jpg

If you guys aren't aware - you can buy 8020 rail from lots of suppliers. The plates should be easy enough to draw up and water jet cutting is getting pretty low cost. I'd guess you could make your own pretty easily if you don't want to wait.
