RCI Review

I would just like to give RCI a round of applause for the rock sliders and gas tank skid. In this pic you can see my 4Runners full weight teetering on just the rock sliders and gas tank skid. I put them to work on this trail.

Any after-shots of the damage done? I'd like to see how bad/ to what degree the skids were dented.

The only part I have a problem with is the 1st gen y pipe skid gets smashed up and vibrations occur with exhaust. I have it spaced down nearly a quarter of an inch now with washers and need longer bolts just to get rid of the vibration I have. Every time I do a big trail it happens. Other than that these have been tried on some of the most difficult trails of Moab, CO and the Rubicon.

Mine have been great too. Put them through the paces in Moab, Colorado and here in Texas with good results. I dented the gas tank skid last month pretty good, but the actual tank was unaffected and I should be able to get then dent out.

Yea, this is a problem. I was planning to get my Y pipe routed higher... But then I put a simple clamp on the rubber isolator thing and have had no vibration since. Maybe I have not taken a huge hit since then, but I'm actually surprised how well it has worked. I know I have slid on them a few times since.
