General Grabber AT2

I'm really jonesing to get some new AT tires. I'm thinking of getting another set of General Grabber AT2's. My last set was a P265/70-17, I'm thinking of a either LT265/70-17, 33x12.50-17, or 285/70-17.

I was rubbing with the P265/70-17's on full lock out, I didn't have any problems with them until I was at about 55k mi on them and had a side wall blow out (probably a piece of shrapnel on the road I didn't see at night).

I have the 265 70 17s, and I have no rubbing. Where did yours rub?

I had a slight rub up front with mine but I was running 1" wider wheels also.

I too run aftermarket rims that are 8" or 8.5" wide. Plus I'm not sure what the offset is.

Man. Don't even get me started on tires.

I was in a really long winded interior monologue type argument with myself and narrowed it down to 4 choices: 285 Grabber AT2, 33x12.5-17 Grabber Red Letter, 285 MTR, 285 DuraTrac.

I really wanted to run the 33" Grabber, but figured I'd get that next go around. Ultimately I chose the DuraTrac based on the reviews for wet traction. I would at least jump up to a 285, it looks clean on the T4R.

For a while I was one of the first 5th gen guys rolling around on AT2's I loved them. The only reason I got the General HTS' is because they didn't have the AT2s in stock when I had the blow out.

The 33's are only C rated... I chose the AT2s based on better reviews than the BFGs...
