2016 - when? Any additions at all?
I've been waiting for the limited '16s before I buy a car- does anyone have any idea when they'll arrive?
I'm also hoping they'll have snuck a couple of new features on - like blindspot monitoring and a power liftgate (optimist, I know - but those features should be pretty standard on that price of car soon...)
Thanks so much for any info.

IIRC, someone posted the details a couple weeks ago.
The only real change that comes to mind is the khaki/desert beige color is now available on the Pros. And I think Entune is now standard, as it was for most of 2015.

The dealer just wrote and said no 2016s until October. If anyone sees one on the lot before then, I'd love to hear about it - thanks!!
(And, yes, I tried to google when they are coming out - only random spam websites come up, unfortunately, so I was hoping someone on here had insider knowledge. Thanks!)

There are no major changes. Just sandstone color for trd.
I am not so sure we will see a major redesign in 2017 either.
I was recently talking with a Toyota employee and they were telling me they are upgrading tech inside the cars and power train but you probably see exterior redesigns less often? Take it for what it's worth?

Good God, do we need another thread about this? No disrespect or anger towards the OP specifically, but I've seen probably one new thread per week this summer asking about 2016s, or 6th Gens, etc.

2016 4Runner changes and delivery date
Out of consideration for the dealers ability to sell the remaining 2015 stock at a fair market price, I wouldn't expect an announcement about the 2016 until almost all of them are gone. That could be very soon, given the way these 2015 are selling. If you do a search of r4Runners on Cars.com or Edmunds you'll find new 2015 4Runners are still available for sale. Monthly shipments of 2015 are still arriving here in So Cal as of this date but don't expect any more 2015 next month.
As I said in my thread about added purchase fees,
http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-ge...ument-fee.html
on Saturday a dealer told me today that he didn't have any 2015 available (on his lot). He said the 2016 will begin production on Tuesday, August 18. That's tomorrow. He also very optimistically predicted the first 4Runners would hit the dealers at the end of September. That was an attempt to get me to commit to buying a 2016.
No word on MSRP but he said it would be virtually unchanged from 2015 models. The light brown sand color, also known as Quicksand will offer a new choice. The Inferno red/orange will no longer be available and I heard the black will not be offered on the TRD Pro but Magnetic Grey Metallic will be. I hadn't heard that Quicksand was only going to be offered on the TRD Pro.
The same dealer said there will be no 30th Anniversary Discount of $500 off MSRP in 2016 either. If so, the price automatically goes up $500

Not trying to be mean to the OP. I'm just in a different mindframe.
But posts like this make me want to run back to a Jeep. At least that forum community doesn't ask about blindspot monitoring, power lift gates, makeup bins, heated/cooled/anal play seats, aroma emitting fart machines, any other luxury gizmo that doesn't mean jack to any person that is considering a utilitarian 4x4. Or at least its much more of a rarity there...
Makes me sad and hastens the demise of the 4runner....soon to be highlander.

2016 4Runners in mid October?
I spoke to another dealer here in So Cal today. He told me the new 2016 models would not arrive for 90 to 120 days. That's mid November to mid December and a bit longer than I'd realistically expect. But he was trying to sell me a 2015 4Runner today through the AAA car buyer's program.
As far as I can tell from speaking to the internet sales departments, Toyota ships 4Runners to So Cal every 30 days around mid month.
Given that there are still new 2015 Toyota 4Runners available on line and new T4Rs just came into So Cal this week, I'd expect this years models to be available for another 30 to 40 days. That would take us to the end of September. Around then I'd expect an announcement from Toyota about the 2016 models with new vehicles hitting the dealers in mid October at the earliest.
I seem to recall that last year we saw similar first delivery dates for the 2015.
The same dealer also told me he had a Trail Edition with a 3rd row seat, which seems very unlikely. I think he's not familiar with the T4R because he called it a Trail SR5.

A bit dramatic? I mean who would really run back to a Heep after owning a 4Runner. I seem to recall wranglers can be purchased with leather seats now, soft.
New forum rules taking effect will require 15 replies before someone can start a new thread, that should help you out. Plus hopefully we will see a big reduction in the daily malicious spam posts.
To the OP, the LE's just don't get any love, no one really knows of any changes for 2016 because they are all so focused on the PRO models. Don't expect anything though.

Right. Makes you run back to a Jeep that features led drls, rear seat Blu-Ray entertainment centers, personalized instrument clusters, "deluxe" storage compartments, or Yelp one-button access.
You're just confused, the Jeep forum community isn't talking about those things because Jeep owners can't get wi-fi access while waiting for their trucks to be fixed in the service center.

So the OP, a newbie, asks a questions about the 2016's in hope that someone will have good information. And instead receives a snarky reply about searching Google.
Here's what I know: If the OP had written "I just read on the Internet that the 2016 Limiteds will have automatic liftgates," then a dozen people would have volunteered versions of "How can you possibly believe all the clickbait you read on the Internet?"
By the way, why not use duckduckgo.com instead of google? Unless you really enjoy sharing all your search activity with corporate America?

This thread makes me want my first car, a 1971 Chevy Vega station wagon back.
Okay, I am stretching things a bit. LOL

Because we just went through this not long ago, and it's almost as annoying having to see the same threads over and over again as little entitled babies like yourself who need coddling instead of doing a single damn thing for yourself *****ing about someone expecting a person to have a shred of self reliance.
