Great thread. I'm in the process of buying a 02 Limited. I have a Pugsley and thouht I'd put down a pad like you have in the back and just set the bike on that. Do you think the bike would fit?
It does have a trailer hitch if needed.
Thanks and great looking 4Runner.

Another option would be hydrodipping, especially for plastic curved pieces. I did that to my inside motorcycle dash in a carbon weave pattern. Looks like you're in TX, so there's probably no shortage of options.

Good luck. Makes me realize how easy blacking out my TEP was when I see what the Limited guys go through.....

Thank you and it should fit as long as you take the front wheel off. The trailer hitch rack make it easy to use. But in the winter here I like the bike on the roof or inside the truck due to the road salt.

OMG, I can't believe I didn't think of Hydrodipping. One of my very good friends in Florida Tom Argue Design | Custom Automobile Design and Paint does it and I bet I could have asked him to do it for me. Da !!!

Nice truck! Good to see another Chicago 4Runner, I am in Hoffman Estates. Just traded my 2014 Tacoma DCSB TRD Sport for a black 2015 4Runner Trail Premium yesterday. Following your build to see what mods look like on the black 4Runner. :-)

TRD Limited Fat Bike Hauler v1.1

Finally had a chance to get some pictures of the truck outside of my garage.

The trail rockers and nerf bars

Canvas Back cargo liner.

Helmet Storage.

The Roof Rack

And finally the rear mud flaps

And I think I found my solution for forward facing lights. However, I plan to use a square LED version.

Good looking truck. With the CBI brackets just be aware that you are going to have to trim up some plastic, or use a heat gun otherwise the hood will be raised about 1/2-1 inch. Unless they have fixed this but I don't think that's the case.

I have the brackets installed on my 14LE (still haven't wired up the lights).

CBI Ditch Light Brackets - Not Fitting

Try searching CBI Ditch Lights, you will see more discussion from that search. The instructions that come with the brackets leave more to be desired (there's no real instructions unless something has changed).

I ended up using a knife to trim up some of the plastic and now there is no noticeable gap.

Any plans to black out the silver roof rack rails, either by replacing, paint or powdercoat? They kinda stick out on the black truck, I am currently debating blacking out the ones on my runner.

Let me know, usually powder coating goes in a batch, so you can have up to a certain amount of items for the same price. (At least at the places I have used in the past) If this is the case, we could possibly split the cost and get them done together.

Check out my build thread...I used vinyl wrap. Quick, easy, low cost, durable and removable.
