I did read the review. I only wish all reviewers tested 4Rs so thoroughly and wrote so well.

Same sentiments here. I read that this afternoon - pretty thorough and hit all the points as if one actually owned it

Yeah, but it's always funny how these reviewers drive down dirt roads in 2 wheel drive then come to an incline, put it in 4lo, engage ATRAC and lock the rear diff and effortlessly walk up (duh) and then proclaim it's a badass off roader.

Did you woke up on the wrong side of the bed today?
If you don't care, don't read it.
I don't give a s*** of your opinion anyway.

You know why we hate it?

Because some of us expected Toyota to step up and make an awesome trail/off road vehicle out of it instead of an appearance package while deleting KDSS.

I honestly didn't have much hope because they never really do much except putting their stickers and logos on stuff, but just once would like to be pleasantly surprised.

Also I feel like they neglected/lost an opportunity to make a crazier version of the Trail edition and instead just put on a mild lift on a KDSS-less base Trail.

So many of us were left scratching our heads as to WTF Toyota was thinking.

At least one member has already beat the shit of his TRDPROWTFBBQ and I applaud him.

Yeah, the hate ......

I just don't get it??? And it does get old after awhile!

To me, it's just another choice, and IMO, a nice one! But, that's just one man's opinion.

My take? It's because many of the new owners came on here with a (perceived) attitude - and promptly got called out for it. Some animus remains...

It's just another 4R...... a cleverly designed one IMO. Minimum investment, maximum return. Those expecting a killer off-roader are dreaming. For a tiny fraction of sales? Seriously not happening.
