I have a detailed log and my AT3W are getting progressively slower wear as the age. So the first 2/32nds went in 4000 miles but wear since then has been good for the heavy use to which mine are subjected, about 4,000 per 1/32. Now they seem to have gotten to 5,000 per 1/32 (the two old ones, those from last spring).

How will you drive? I am a big fan of P-metric even for offroad use but if I were to go seriously fast on trail (not dirt road) with any regularity I would get LT with a 3-ply sidewall.
I may live in PHX but we do not stay in PHX all the time and i have had no issues in all sorts of rain between AZ and MT. That one review above is an outlier and it could have something to do with tire pressures, load rating, etc.
In snow, the 4R is what it is in 2wd. In 4wd I like it. We do have a Subaru anyway.
But since you live in the NE, your priorities are different, no idea how the Wildpeaks would do for you. I only do snow by choice and on occasion.
EDIT:
Also, I have quoted here a great post: https://www.toyota-4runner.org/3262846-post483.html

Street 90% of the time, not going to lie I just like the way the suspension looks with aggressive looking tires. Not even going to pretend that I'm going to do a lot of off-roading..I have a dirtbike for that.
Just want the tires to last a few years, not too noisey, good on wet pavement and not cause any problems with my new suspension.

New Falken AT tire (A/T3W)

Just on the Falkens though? Mad shady either way but this may just reflect business assessments by Falken and them realizing the popularity of this tire can yield higher earnings for them.
My issue is that now that they’re flirting with the competition in pricing, I’m getting pulled into spending a little more money for a different tire.

Not just Falkens; April is "National Car Care Month" according to the car care industry, and usually when the biggest discounts are offered (inflated as they may be). I agree it's a little shady, but definitely not specific to Falken. I am in the same boat about considering other brands now that the difference in price has come so much closer. I feel like I'm back at square one when it comes to deciding what to go with next. Planning on seeing who comes out with what offer and reevaluate.

Since I took a few screen shots the other day, I can confirm that at least today Falken is the only tire with price increases. I’ve wondered for a long while if this wasn’t coming.

You could be right. I noticed that some sizes went listed as out of stock on TireBuyer then came back at higher prices. Maybe Falken did just reset due to demand.
@ Decipher
Edit: I had a set of new Wildpeaks up on eBay to buy. I just opened the page this morning. As I refreshed it to buy, the price went up by $250 for a set of 4 right in front of me, and a coupon popped up that said $50 off a $400 tire purchase. Crazy. Just for kicks, I went to Amazon, and they still seem to have most of the old pricing available (with free Prime shipping) on many sizes. All this waiting and researching, and I'll probably just end up ordering them on Amazon.

Cannot say for the other load ratings, but P265 70 17 has been between 133 and 142 or so before, back and forth.
The Wildpeak AT3W will be the stock tire on the Gladiator Rubicon and the MT version will be optional. Considering the professional and consumer reviews, they have no reason not to charge a little more though big jumps may push lots of people elsewhere. But even at a higher price, the only reason I would look elsewhere is that I am pushing them far more than most offroad and could benefit from the piece of mind of a 3-ply sidewall and even from an MT tire on occasion.
And my new Wildpeak tire is Made in USA not in Thailand. Unsure if it matters but it did surprise me since the others, purchased a year ago, were all Made in Thailand.

Anybody know why the 275/70/17 size is so hard to find ?
Most online and all local places don't have that size, even though it is listed on Falkens website.

Does anyone know the "sweet spot" PSI to run the LT285s? I am currently running them at 43 PSI and I am concerned that might be too much for daily commuting. I also grabbed these when they were under 200. They have been awesome and the ride has been great. I am surprised how close in weight the Falken LT275s are to the Falken LT285s.

I’m glad I bought when I did a while back. I paid $734 shipped for 4 LT285’s and $629 shipped for 4 P285’s.

I've been keeping them at 40psi for the past 8 months/15k miles.
From the look of it, I'll easily get well over 55-60k out of this set.

The standard 265/70/17's of these seem to have been purged from Discount Tire Direct's eBay store. Wonder what's going on. Until recently, they've literally always been in stock.

I've got about 2 months of life left in my stock Nittos and I can't decide between 265/70r17 SL ($802) or 275/70r17 C ($1,163) Falkens. $360 difference in the set of 4 w/ tire certs tells me to go with the SL, but I like the idea of the C load range. Not to mention the spare will still be the stock size.
