Scanner apps/tools for iPhones and Apple OS

I figured it out. Updated firmware, the list of available id’s was decreased dramatically. I reselected the id1-id4 and reconnected. I was surprised to find all my tires set at 51-52 psi, the door jamb says 32 but the tire says 51 max. No lie this is even smoother riding than my wife’s 2015 CLA250 4Matic...

Ah cool! Yeah, that's familiar, I seem to recall it updating the firmware too.

Are your tires E-rated? If so, that could be a relatively "normal" pressure. But does seem a bit high if you aren't running loaded.

OK, please help a noob to this subject.

What do I need to buy to monitor:
Oil, coolant, and trans temps, as well as tire pressures?

Money is not an issue, as I want quality stuffs.

Thanks in advance!!

OBDLINK MX+ tool
Free OBDLINK app from iOS store
I think your investment is about $80 plus a phone or tablet to display the data
Just to clarify, you cannot see all of your requested items to monitor at the same time. The Tire pressure related items are a separate network from the standard network. You can see both, just not at the same time.

Hmm not sure I would guess the cooler of the two to be the pan? as the hottest fluid would be traveling into the TC, of course, as I understand the transmission cooler is bypassed if the fluid isn't hot enough.

You can get a semi-permanent ScanGaugeII too. It does occupy your OBDII port, so you would have to temporarily remove it to use a different OBDII tool.

That is what I concluded as well based on other data I found online. Added tire pressure/temps with cluster color matched gauges

Thanks for the previous info!
I have the OBDLinkMX+ installed and have most things figured out. Very nice!

How did you change to that color scheme, and how did you get tire temp at the bottom of the pressure?

You can customize the colors in the app under style, I used photoshop to get the hex codes
the blue is FF0286FF (new blue darker FF234FA6
The red is FFFF0000
The temp gauge is another "display" that I added on top of the original (its all about the size and placement using no background colors) in the app.

I ended up switching to dial gauges also

PM me if you need more details

Nice! Radials look good, switched

Of course now I have one, I want to save the config and reuse, couldn't find an option for that.

Beeps/Alarms Carista vs. ???

After plugging a carista into the OBDII port, I’ve mellowed out the ‘22 4runner a little bit.

Still need to disable:
1) beeping seatbelt reminder at engine start (not the carista-disabled constant fasten seatbelt beeping, but the initial series of beeps)
2) Beeping while walking away with the key fob clipped to my belt
3) any of the other alarms/beeping.

I read something about tech stream. Any recommended interface devices? Does this software work with apple?

If there is a wire to be cut under the dash, I don’t mind losing other warning indicator sounds if it deletes the seatbelt beep.

Lastly… It’s a push button. Any options for being able to continue listening to music after shutting down the motor?
A) power the radio to secondary battery?
B) New ignition install with a key start?
C) Any ideas or instructions?

It’s a 2022 TRD off road if that helps.
