Scanner apps/tools for iPhones and Apple OS

So it seems that there are some very cost-efficient products you can get to read codes and check engine lights for the 5th gen 4runner, but as far as I know, they only work with Android-based apps. There was a thread on this topic, but I never saw anything for iPhones discussed:

Scan tool on the Cheap

Does anyone have any suggestions for scanner tools and/or apps that are compatible with iPhones?

i was on the verge of creating a thread about this. I just downloaded an app called "OBD Fusion" for ios yesterday. It cost $10, but is the closest thing to Torque I have found. I was able to create a PID that will read ATF temp.

So far this is the best app for iphone I have found.

Does it require some sort of OBD plug-in or tool?

The Elm 327 adaptor can be found for both iPhone and Android. I have used this with my Android for years now and it works flawlessly.
Plugs right into the OBD port.

Wifi being the critical point here. Unless something has changed, iOS doesn't allow the use of Bluetooth enabled obd II scanners

Though I have little to offer on this, let it be known, I appreciate this info. Thanks to all on this forum who have helped me see the light.

Hardware:
iPhone
ELM327 wifi adapter

Apps:
OBD Fusion (I believe allows you to add customized PIDs)
I think only one of these worked...but I was to lazy to delete one and I'm not verifying PIDs at the moment
-AT Pan Temp:
Metric Units C
English Units F
Min Value -40
Max Value 325
Metric to English Scale Factor: 1.8
Metric to English Offset: 32
Module/Header: ECM
OBD Mode: 21
PID Number: 82
Priority: Medium
Equation: ((((A*256)+B)*(7/100)-400)/10)
-TC Outlet Temp: same as Pan Temp except equation C replaces A and D replaces B

DashCmd (wants more money for add-ons, no customized PIDs)
